PARKKR APP PRIVACY POLICY
This Privacy Policy describes how Parkkr LLC ("Parkkr," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information in connection with your use of our mobile and web applications (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
1. NOTICE AT COLLECTION
We collect personal information to provide a seamless parking experience. We do not "sell" your data or "share" it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
- Identifiers: Name, email, phone number, and IP address used for account registration and security.
- Vehicle Information: License plate, state, make, model, and color used for identification and lot enforcement.
- Commercial Information: Parking session history and transaction details used to fulfill service requests.
- Financial Information: Last four digits of payment cards and unique tokens; full data is stored securely at Stripe.
- Internet Activity: Device info and usage logs to troubleshoot and improve the Service.
SMS TERMS & CONSENT:
- By providing your phone number, and checking the consent box, you consent to receive a one time verification text from Parkkr to verify your phone number. Message and data rates may apply.
- By separately affirmatively opting in to receive sms messages, you consent to receive transaction/service notifications from Parkkr. These include parking session reminders and account alerts. Consent is not a condition of purchase (you can choose push notifications as an alternative). Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
- You can cancel the SMS service at any time. Just text "STOP" to the short code or long code. After you send the SMS message "STOP" to us, we will send you an SMS message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed. After this, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us. Alternatively, just toggle off SMS messages in your account section on the app. If you want to join again, just opt-in in your account section on the app. If you are experiencing issues with the messaging program you can reply with the keyword "HELP" for more assistance, or contact support on the app.
- Opt-in information is NOT shared with any third-party entities.
2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
A. Information You Provide Directly
- Account Information: Account Information: Name, email address, phone number (collected for account verification and SMS parking reminders upon your opt-in), and password..
- Vehicle Information: License plate number, state/province, vehicle color, make, and model.
- Parking Information: Information regarding a parking session or permit.
- Communications: Records of correspondence when you contact support or provide feedback.
- Lot Management Data (Managers): Business name, contact person, location details, resident (or similar) information, capacity, and rates.
- Financial Information (Managers): Bank account details for receiving payments or tax information.
B. Transaction and Payment Information
We utilize secure, third-party payment processors (e.g., Stripe). Parkkr does not directly store or process your full payment card data. We only receive limited data, such as the last four digits of the card and a unique token assigned by the processor.
C. Information Collected Automatically
When you access the Service, we automatically collect:
- Usage Data: Details about features used, access times, and error logs.
- Device Information: IP address, operating system, browser type, and unique device identifiers.
3. COOKIES AND TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES
We employ a "privacy-first" approach. We do not use any non-essential cookies, analytics pixels, or marketing trackers.
- Essential Cookies: We use only strictly necessary cookies for authentication and session management.
- Third-Party Essential Cookies: Our payment processor, Stripe, uses essential cookies to facilitate secure transactions and prevent fraud.
- Local Storage: We use browser localStorage to remember your UI preferences; this data remains on your device and is not used for tracking.
4. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- To Provide the Service: Operating the app, processing transactions, and fulfilling parking requests.
- To Facilitate Parking & Enforcement: Sharing necessary User data (license plate and vehicle description, parking sessions and permits) with Lot Managers.
- Communication: Sending updates, security alerts, and administrative messages like parking reminders.
- Improvement: Analyzing usage trends to troubleshoot and improve functionality.
5. HOW WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION
- Service Interoperability: We share User vehicle details and parking sessions/permits with Lot Managers to permit parking, and we share Lot location and other information with Users.
- Third-Party Service Providers: We use external vendors (including but not limited to Stripe, Twilio, and Resend) who are contractually bound to protect your data.
- SMS/Mobile Data: Parkkr LLC is committed to protecting your communication privacy. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties or affiliates for any reason. You may opt-out of SMS communications at any time by texting "STOP." For support, text "HELP".
- Legal Reasons: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Parkkr and its users.
- Business Transfers: Data may be transferred in connection with a merger, sale of assets, or acquisition.
